I just had to tell you again what a fantastic holiday Craig and I had, we have been home now for just over a month and there isn’t a day goes by that I don’t day dream about the time we spent on the tour, I told Craig about my day dreaming and he said he’s the same. As you know when Craig and I booked our 7 day tour we intended to both go on the same scooter, with Craig doing all the driving, as I told you at the time I would love ride a scooter myself but I was not a bike rider and a bit nervous, I am so glad you convinced me to do the bike training day prior to the tour, riding my own scooter made a great holiday into an unforgettable experience. Craig and I really want to come back and do the 12 day tour, hopefully next year, Craig wants to see Burma and I want to go to the Golden Triangle. So I’ll say goodbye for now, please say hello to Tommy, Joang and give Rambo a pat on the head from us.

Hi Bill and Rambo

Well mate I said I would email you, so here it is, after leaving you we went to Pukett for 6 days, we went by train to Bangkok then by taxi to Pukett. It was nice to go to the beach but we found it all very commercial compared to the north, a bit of an anti climax really after Northern Thailand.

Jill and I hired a couple of scooter on the second day here, they are fun aren’t they, but it wasn’t the same as our tour. Jill and I both agree the scooter tour with you was the best part of our holiday. We are going to come out and do the 12 day tour, when I don’t know, next year if we can save enough money.

Please say hello to Tommy or should I say, “Sawaddee Krab” “Sabai dee rue” tell him I am trying to learn some Thai for my next trip.

Hello Bill how are you and the gang doing, it’s been 3 months since I was out there with you all, and there isn’t a day goes by that I don’t wish I was back there. Do you remember how nervous I was when you meet me at the airport; the farthest I had ever been on holiday was to Spain with two friends and here I was along in N Thailand, what was I thinking when I booked! It wasn’t long before I started to relax, that first night in Chiang Mai, it was an eye opener and Peter, the French guy on the tour, he looked and sounded like that policeman in “Hello Hello” when he spoke English, he was so funny, I have never laughed so much in my life, and yes we do keep in touch with each other!

The bike training day had me in a flap; do you remember when I told you I didn’t think I could do it, what did you do? You laughed at me, you Git!!!! And took me out to the road near your house and told me to watch. Within 5 minutes there must have been 20 scooters go by, most ridden school children, most with at lest 3 on board, 1 with 4 and a dog, you then said if I wanted to travel in the support vehicle I could do, but it isn’t as much fun, my hart was pounding!!! You sent Tommy, (the tour guide) Hi Tommy! Out with the rest of our tour group to do a 30 minute loop of the area, you turned to me and said, “Kitty you’ve got 30 minutes, we better crack on” well you know the rest, 10 minutes later I was thundering down the road ,well 30 km an hour, I felt so alive.

Bill, you know the rest you were there! I just wanted to say a big thanks, not just for the tour but taking the time to get me on the scooter, I know it made the tour. Would love come back and do anther tour, maybe I’ll come back with someone, will ask Peter what he’s doing, ha ha.
